11 April 2013: GAA stars and minority sports winners, international heroes and title holders, team players and individual sports stars from across DIT all came together for the 16th annual DIT Sports Awards ceremony held at the Gleeson Theatre in DIT Kevin Street, Dublin on April 11.

DIT reached the Lynch Cup weekend in Waterford for the first time in four years, following victories over UCD(2), Cork IT and NUIG(2) in the quarter finals of the championship.

The DIT Junior football squad have emulated the outstanding achievement of the DIT Senior Football Squad - who won the Sigerson Cup for the first time last month – by winning, for the second consecutive year, the All Ireland Junior Football Championship.

Congratulations to the DIT Premier Soccer Team who saw off a very impressive DCU team in the All-Ireland College & University Football League final which was held under lights in Frank Cooke Park, Finglas on Wednesday night. The game finished 2 – 0, with Aaron O’Dwyer and Sam Simpson the goal scorers........

This historic success came on the back of a successful Div 1 League campaign which now sees the college complete a historic league and championship double which hasn’t been done at this level since 1978. Read on.....
